John Steinbeck: Of Mice And Men And Selected Stories
Note: Currently, this program cannot be installed on any of the computers in the Electronic Text Center.

I. BRIEF OVERVIEW OF STRUCTURE AND CONTENT:
Of Mice and Men and Selected Stories is a set of Voyager Expanded Books that includes Of Mice and Men, Cannery Row, The Red Pony, The Pearl, and a volume of biographical material entitled About John Steinbeck. The books allow you to add margin comments and end notes, locate any word or phrase in the text and in your notes, and highlight text and mark pages in several different ways.
II. STARTING UP THE PROGRAM:
You do not need the CD-ROM to access these texts. Click on the Start menu button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen, select Programs, then select Voyager from the pull-out menu. Select the icon of the volume you wish to see from the submenu. The program should launch automatically. If you do not see these icons, please ask a staff member for assistance.
Once the program is running, you should see a bright green page with a red truck. Clicking on this page will automatically bring you to the copyright page.
Clicking on the book icon at the bottom of the copyright page will deposit you at the last place visited by a user.
To access the other stories in the Steinbeck collection, quit the first volume (see section IV for instructions) and select the other volume you want to see from the Voyager pull-out menu.
